MATERIA (MATTER)

материя. «Все вещи... или состоят из материи и формы, или наделены субстанцией, подобной материи и форме. Ибо если бы не было субъектного тела, которое воспринимает форму, то не могло бы быть вообще ничего... Что же касается бестелесных вещей, то у них, наподобие материи и формы, имеется высшая, первичная и предшествующая природа, на которую накладываются отличительные признаки, в результате чего образуется нечто, состоящее, примерно так же, как и тело, из чего-то вроде материи и фигуры; именно так обстоит дело с родом и видом...
